Artist's Statement
BIOGRAPHY
Mahua Gupta is a dedicated visual artist and art educator with an extensive background in the fine arts and education. With academic credentials from Jammu University — including a Master of Arts in Psychology (2009), Bachelor of Science in Home Science (2007), and Bachelor of Education (2013) — she merges creativity with pedagogy to inspire and promote the value of art in society.
She has over a decade of experience in both the creation and instruction of art, having actively contributed to the field through workshops, national-level painting camps, prestigious exhibitions, and numerous judging assignments across India. Her work reflects a deep commitment to artistic expression, cultural promotion, and empowerment through education.
Recognized for her accomplishments, she has been felicitated multiple times by institutions such as the Department of Psychology, Jammu University, Nirvana Academy, the Government of India, and the Bhartiya Janta Yuwa Morcha. She also frequently serves as a subject expert and chief coordinator for various national and state-level art events.
